“Su” is to revive or come back to life. Reviving Plum is the flushed rose of a plum in first bloom.

Origin

Rain Water falls just as plum blossom opens across the south. The name ties the colour to revival: the tree waking, the rain arriving, the season restarting. As the turning colour it is where the term’s pinks finally take on real body, pastel giving way to blossom.
