Imagery

“Jiǎo” means bright, luminous white. Bright Jade is the cool, faintly green-tinged white of polished stone.

Origin

Spring Equinox divides day and night in equal halves. Its palette abandons the season’s reds for the whites of the equinox sky and of jade. Bright Jade opens the term — white with a whisper of green in it, light before it takes on colour.
