Solar term
小暑 · Minor Heat — "温风至,蟋蟀居壁,鹰乃学习。"
Imagery
“Chēng” is flushed red; “xiá” is cloud-glow. The red-orange of a low evening sky.
Origin
As Minor Heat’s succeeding colour it brings the term’s oranges down and outward, toward the horizon. Where Firm Red is animal, Crimson Cloud is atmospheric — the same heat seen across the whole sky at dusk.
System
